Full-time Assistant ManagerAfter studying at the City of Bath College, gaining her NVQ3, Laura worked at Bath Thermae Spa before joining House of Beauty. Laura specialises in Reflexology and has an eye for detail…the team bow to her French Polish talent. She is ESPA, ENVIRON and Jane Iredale trained and has worked with many other top skincare brands and complimentary therapy’s. Laura was promoted to the Salon Assistant Manager after showing skills in leadership and team support. In her spare time Laura is exceptionally creative from turning a rundown table into a bespoke piece of furniture, to designing a beautiful handmade card personalised to mean so much more. Wendy affectionately refers to Laura as ‘Lovely Laura’ and when you meet her and experience her treatments you will see why.
Full-time Senior Beauty TherapistSophie, who we affectionately call ‘Sassy Soph’, finished her NVQ3 qualifications and gained experience in Thermae Bath Spa and Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa before joining House of Beauty in 2016. She is ESPA & ENVIRON trained, specialises in intimate waxing and has a passion for introducing clients to the Jane Iredale Skincare Makeup range. When Sophie is not planning her next holiday, she loves to keep fit or spend time with her pet dog Benji, family and friends.
Part-time Senior Beauty TherapistOur ‘Welsh Lovely’ joined House of Beauty in 2018 after relocating to Chippenham from Penarth. Her vast experience took her on-board cruise ships for 2 years as a beauty therapist, then returning to the UK Carys gained further experience as an IPL (laser hair removal) specialist. She has worked at top Spa’s and enjoyed 7 years with a Beauty Salon similar to House of Beauty in Wales where she worked with various top skin care brands. We love to learn a little Welsh from Carys and her days always start with ‘bore da’ (welsh for good morning), she enjoys spending her days off with family and her pet cat Steve.
Full-time Beauty TherapistGeorgia is the salons newest team member, she has previously worked at Bowood Spa and The Bath Priory Garden Spa gaining valuable experience before joining House of Beauty. Georgia has trained in Reflexology and ESPA and excels in all forms of Massage, she is called the ‘Pedicure Queen’ in the salon as she seems to be frequently requested for this treatment. Georgia loves her two dogs that she spends every lunch break with and has quickly became a valued part of the HOB family.
Receptionist & Salon Coordinator
Hannah is our ‘front of house’ that meets and greets everyone that walks through the HOB doors, she is the one that speaks to you beautifully on the phone, she organises the bookings, takes care of the café, keeps behind the scenes salon support running smoothly and generally looks after the day to day running of our busy salon, with the help and support of the team. As perfect as Hannah looks every day, she is our petrol head that has a passion for cars, at the opposite end of hobbies Hannah loves her ballet classes and time with her cat Klaus.
OwnerWendy has worked in the Beauty Industry for over 25 years and started on the Makeup side of the business, she completed a course in acrylic nails whilst living in Washington DC for a year and when she teamed Acrylic Nails and Wedding Makeovers Nails & Veils Ltd was born. Wendy worked from home for 5 years before her first salon opened in 2001, she trained and employed a couple of nail technicians and the business started to grow. When House of Beauty opened its doors in 2007 Wendy went back to collage every Sunday for a year to gain her NVQ and is now trained in many top skin care bands alongside of ESPA, ENVIRON and Jane Iredale. She also specialises in Permanent Makeup that runs alongside of House of Beauty to enhance what the salon offers. Wendy loves to keep fit and runs regularly, she enjoys her garden apart from when her dog digs it up, but her biggest passion is House of Beauty and the team that support her.
OwnerNigel has so much experience in his specialised profession it’s hard to know where to start. He qualified with a Masters in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy in 1994 and is a member of the IIST (International Institute of Sports Therapy), from there he decide to work abroad on cruise ships in the Caribbean for a couple of years…his favourite place, he also spent time in Miami working as a Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer. When he returned to the UK he gained the rewarding position in a Physio Clinic specialising in the rehabilitation for adults with learning disabilities, this led to further Sports Massage work and Nigel started his own business working for private clients. Nigel now co-owns and works exclusively at House of Beauty and specialises in Sports Massage Therapy, Le Stone Hot Stone Massage and Aromatherapy. In his spare time he loves Yoga, walking his dog Arthur and anything to do with the Caribbean.
